COORDINATION MEETING ON POVERTY AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT DEVICE FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE 2025 RKPD

On Tuesday, March 19, 2023, at the Tarsius Meeting Room, Bappeda Office, a Coordination Meeting on Poverty and Forum of Local Government Devices for the Preparation of the Work Plan of Local Government (RKPD) of Pohuwato District in 2025 was held. The meeting was opened by the Deputy Regent of Pohuwato District, Hj. Suharsi Igirisa, S.IP., M.Si. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Regional Government, Assistants, Experts, Heads of Agencies, Subdistrict Heads, the Regent's Working Team, the Rector and Team from Pohuwato University, as well as the Team from the Pohuwato District BPS (Central Statistics Agency).

This meeting discussed four macro indicators, including Economic Growth, Human Development Index (HDI), Employment Indicators, and Poverty Indicators.

Based on the results of the series of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth rates with 2010 as the base year, it was found that the economic growth of Pohuwato District in 2023 increased by 4.4 percent from the previous year. The economic contributor sector in Pohuwato District remains the same from year to year, which is the Agricultural sector. However, the sectors that experienced the highest increase were the trade sector (11.54%), construction (10.54%), and accommodation & food services (9.65%).

Next, concerning the HDI, in 2023 Pohuwato District obtained an HDI of 67.15. It increased by 0.62% from the previous year. This figure falls into the "Medium" category.

Furthermore, in terms of the labor force, the Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) was 72.96 and the Unemployment Rate (UR) was 3.46 in 2023. These figures can be interpreted as out of 100 people aged 15 and over, 72 to 73 people are part of the labor force. And out of 100 in the labor force, 3 to 4 are unemployed.

Meanwhile, in terms of poverty, the percentage of poor population in Pohuwato District decreased by 0.23% in 2023 compared to 2022.
